My name is Catarina and I’m from Leiria, Portugal. I moved to Dublin about two months ago to study photography in my Erasmus year. I like my work to reflect my experiences and thoughts. I often use it to express my feelings, just like in a journal. Even though my work is inevitably connected to me, I want it to have a life of its own and a different meaning to different people. My first weeks living in Dublin were a bit difficult and I found myself having to readjust to a lot.

It is reassuring to know that things can’t stay in a certain state forever. It is simply the way things work. They progress, evolve and change. This image is a part of a project I developed in these first few weeks that sought to explore and dive into how change works and how inevitable it is.
