Often, art is merely used decoratively in journal curation. The editorial team at Issue X wanted to challenge this norm from the get-go, and showcase the unique conversation between visual and text. As a result, each piece of art is included in a meaningful way. Integrated into the larger body of work, and befitting the themes of our written pieces, our featured pieces can simultaneously shine on its own while enhancing the journal in its entirety.
