About the Artist: Kalee Espitia

Kalee Espitia • She/her • Creator of “Bound to the roots”, “Silent Waters”, “Haunting Bloom”, and Issue X cover “Somber Slumber”

Kalee Espitia is a self-taught Mexican-American painter. Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, her first love was the burnt hues of the desert and her rich family culture. After gaining a BA in Advertising at Austin Art Institute, she found her true love in painting and took to various mediums.
