Chris Tiernan began as a writer of fiction and non-fiction but developed a passion for instant photography as an alternative way to tell stories. A staunch defender of analogue culture, he embraces the imperfect spontaneity of shooting with a Polaroid camera as well as writing first drafts on a manual typewriter. With the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence, it’s more vital than ever to preserve and appreciate the authentic and tactile methods of creating. He isn’t strictly ‘anti-AI,’ but believes that all avenues of art, the physical ritualism of creativity, and the tools involved should remain with the living and the flawed.
