S.Y is an Arts student with a keen interest in how society and art intertwine. Their work reflects on the cacophony of modern times. They feel that there is a distinct sense of alienation and sensory overload within the world and that everything feels a bit much, but also underwhelming at the same time. Their art is political and philosophical in that it is trying to find the answers, but knows that it probably won’t.Jess Domican is a twenty year old English and Sociology student in her final year at UCD. She has enjoyed taking pictures of random things since she was young and had one of those really crappy cameras that flip up.Alyssa Fleming is a 20 year old film student and amateur photographer from Kerry. Most of her work is landscape photography, especially in places that she has been lucky enough to travel to. Alyssa likes playing with symmetry and perspective and posts most of her photos to her Instagram @aflemingphotos. Her photos have been taken in many different places around the world such as the US, Italy, Spain and here in Ireland.Lee Campbell Perrie is a final year student of an Art BA course in Dublin. His artwork intends to explore escapism in society and an infatuation with escaping the material world. This collection is an exploration of his experience with college pre-covid. This is a collection of photos Sarah took in Connemara, a place that is very special to her. She used her Canon EOS 50E to capture some light on film that, she hopes, portrays some of Connemara’s beauty and serenity.Caroline Costello’s photos offer just a quick glimpse into what quarantine looked like for her; the beginning being spent at home in her own back garden, trying and in her own words “failing” to start gardening as a new hobby. When the restrictions in Ireland eased for a while Caroline did her best to take full advantage of the staycation life.
